City wins 9 national awards for communications
The City of Round Rock took home nine awards for communications and marketing at the 2024 City-County Communications and Marketing Association (3CMA) annual conference held in Arlington.
- 1st place – Social Media: Best Overall Strategy, for an Instagram strategy focused on the utilization of vertical, short-form video
- 1st place – Social Media: Best Campaign Use, for a social media campaign dedicated to informing residents during winter weather events
- 1st place – Video: Educational Training, for last year’s Wes Anderson themed budget video
- 1st place – Community Visioning: For the Round Rock “Creates” Arts Master Plan
- 1st place – Marketing and Tools: Branding/New Logo, for the rebrand of the Round Rock Public Library
- 2nd place – Photography: Multi-Use Image, for photographs captured at the City’s annual July 4 Parade
- 2nd place – Graphic Design: For the Downtown Round Rock historic walking guide
- 2nd place – Marketing and Tools: Economic Development, for last year’s holiday Shop the Rock marketing campaign
- 3rd place – Marketing and Tools: Best Use of a Promotional Item, for the Downtown Round Rock historic walking guide
The Savvy Awards competition recognizes outstanding local government achievements in communications, public-sector marketing and citizen-government relationships. The awards have represented the best in government communications for more than 30 years, saluting skilled and effective city, county, agency or district professionals who have creatively planned and carried out successful innovations in communications and marketing.
3CMA is the leading national organization for local governments that are innovating new and better ways of communicating with their residents.
