RRPL wins 2024 Texas Book Festival Collections Enhancement Grant
Round Rock Public Library (RRPL) has been named one of 45 Texas libraries to receive the 2024 Texas Book Festival Collections Enhancement Grant. The purpose of this gift is “to share the diversity and breadth of literature” in selected communities across Texas. RRPL will use its grant funds to expand, update, and enhance its Large Print collection for the growing Library At Home program, established in 2021. Large print books are books with a larger font size than standard print to help people with low vision or other visual impairments read more easily.
About the Library At Home program
Round Rock Public Library’s Library At Home delivery is for individuals living within the city limits of Round Rock who have a condition, due to an illness or injury, that restricts their ability to leave their home except with the assistance of another individual or the aid of a supportive device (such as crutches, a cane, a wheelchair, or a walker), or if the individual has a condition such that leaving their home is medically contraindicated, whether temporarily or long-term. People with inadequate access to transportation may also qualify.
